Dosage Operator
About me…
My name is Alen Orlović and I’m an outdoor, sports and travel enthusiast. I graduated from the Secondary School of Chemical Sciences and Graphic Arts as a chemical technician. I have worked at JGL since 2010 as a dosage operator in the dry oral form manufacturing department.
About my workday…
My workday begins by checking the daily manufacturing plan and suiting up for the dry oral form manufacturing department, Class D. Then I prepare bulk packages and check authorisations. After making sure that everything is ready and authorised, I start preparing the blister packaging machines and contact the quality assurance department which has to green-light the dosage process. During the dosage process, I also fill out the manufacturing documentation and regularly check the process control parameters and product characteristics to make sure that the final product is correct and compliant with all the regulations. After the dosage process is completed, I close the work order and contact the material preparation department with regard to returning the packaging in order to clear up space and prepare the next product.
About manufacturing challenges…
The greatest manufacturing challenge is meeting the weekly and monthly manufacturing plan deadline and delivering a product of the correct quality. Things don’t always go as planned in manufacturing: there are hold-ups and machine malfunctions, we have all sorts of problems with the packaging itself, etc., which requires great knowledge, skill and resourcefulness to solve newly emerging problems while maintaining speed and the quality of the final product.
About the team environment…
I like teamwork because we complement and help each other. Teamwork is fulfilling and definitely contributes to my personal growth and meeting objectives set out for my team and me. This is much easier to do together. About work motivation… I am motivated by long-term projects to whose results I look forward and I am particularly motivated to gain new knowledge that will contribute to achieving that goal. Manufacturing requires specific knowledge from different fields in order to better understand the entire product manufacturing process. I enjoy broadening my knowledge because I know that it enables me to move forward every day.
About working at JGL…
What I like the most about working at JGL is the company’s stability, working with state-of-the-art technology and new knowledge that I acquire every day.
About the desire for new knowledge…
Besides the desire for new knowledge in manufacturing, I also have a special desire to learn more about digital marketing and mobile app development. This year, I have earned the title of Online Advertising Specialist and next year, I plan to complete the mobile app development course.
About my hobbies…
This is a somewhat tricky question because I have so many hobbies. I would like to single out travelling and planning trips, fitness, mountaineering, mountain biking and web design. I am a member of the JGL Mountaineering Club and the unofficial JGL Cycling Team.
About success and satisfaction…
I can’t boast or pick a single life achievement, maybe because, among other things, I am not a man with a single goal or affinity, for example, I don’t want to become President. I have so many interests and desires in life, each with their own specific successes, ranging from sports, creative endeavours and even business, to a plethora of courses, schools, all kinds of training, etc. They all bring success and achievement to my life. They are also a source of great pleasure, perhaps the biggest of which is travelling with my significant other and discovering the secrets of other places, cultures and traditions. And if I may include a bit of sport, even creativity (writing blogs, etc.), it is impossible to be any more satisfied with life. And the feeling of satisfaction is the ultimate success!
