Digital Business Specialist
About me…
I graduated from Medical Secondary School in 2012 as a pharmaceutical technician. Immediately after finishing school, I was hired by JGL as a Semi-Solid Dosage Form Manufacturing Technician. After years of experience, I learned to work with non-sterile solutions and partly with sterile sprays. Around 2018, I developed a huge interest in digital marketing. Finally, in 2020, I enrolled in university as a part-time student, which opened up many doors, with the biggest difference definitely being a change of position at JGL.
About my workday…
Each workday is different, which is what I like most about my job. There is no room for tedium or monotony. I start my workday reading and answering e-mails and making a list of daily tasks and activities. Every morning I contact my Zagreb-based team to go through our daily activities, discuss projects and often brainstorm. I am in charge of several projects, which I monitor and implement on a daily basis. Since I am still wet behind the ears in this field, I receive plenty of training, either online or from my colleagues, so I learn something new every day.
About motivation and interests…
I have always been highly motivated to work, lately even more so, I must admit. I am over the moon to have been given the chance to do something that makes me feel happy and truly fulfilled, as well as being aligned with my interests, which makes me even more motivated. Every day provides a new opportunity for learning and growth, which motivates me in performing daily tasks.
About the team environment…
My department is strongly team-oriented. We’re a small department that does everything together. My co-workers are seasoned veterans in their roles, so they pass on knowledge and give work-related advice, teaching me everything I didn’t learn at university. I enjoy such a team environment in which we support, help and motivate each other.
About working at JGL…
Working at JGL has been the highlight of my career. I have been working at JGL since finishing secondary school and I can’t imagine myself anywhere else. I take pride in working here, especially when talking to my friends who work for less-than-ideal companies in much worse conditions.
What I like the most about JGL…
The thing I like the most about JGL is that it has given me the opportunity to develop skills in areas in which I am really interested. I like that effort and hard work are valued. I like that we are big and that everyone has heard of us, and I love to see our advertisements and products and exclaim: “Look, I work there!”
About the motivation to change my work position…
After hearing that a new digital department was being opened at JGL, I knew I had to try. Initially, I had no expectations and thought that I had nothing to lose. I privately dabbled in digital marketing in my own free time and after enrolling in university, I realised that it was what I wanted to do in the future and contribute to JGL in that sense.
About the experience in the new position…
My personal experience in the new position has been nothing but positive. I learn something new every day and each day is different. There is no room for monotony or boredom. As the saying goes: “Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life,” and I absolutely concur.
About the desire for new knowledge…
Ever since I switched departments, I have frequently attended training classes and gained new knowledge. Since one thing always leads to another, there will always be new directions and knowledge to which I truly look forward. My learning bucket list is getting longer with each day.
About my hobbies…
My hobby list is quite long and makes my life interesting. I do aerial silks, climb, hike and go to the gym. In my own time, I run a few Instagram accounts, cook, do jigsaw puzzles, and I especially love spending time outdoors with my two dogs and socialising with people close to me over delicious food.
About success and satisfaction…
Each newly acquired skill and successfully completed task brings me great satisfaction. Of course, work is very satisfying, but my greatest pleasure is spending time outdoors and conquering high mountain peaks. That’s where I feel right at home and can be my true self.
