Corporate Finance Director
About me…
I have years of experience in finance, strategic management and human resources. I graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Business in Zagreb and completed an Executive MBA programme at the CBA Business Academy in Zagreb. I have been with JGL for just under two years.
About my workday…
My average working day is quite dynamic and often unpredictable. It is unpredictable mainly because of the current economic and political situation, both on the micro and macro levels. Therefore, ensuring the smooth functioning of everyday processes and responsibilities within the finance function is essential to provide the space and time needed for adjustment in emerging situations.
About work challenges...
The challenges we face are diverse. It is vital to prioritise them adequately, recognise and include all relevant factors promptly, and ultimately tackle them with a great deal of optimism and the help of the team.
About the team environment…
A good and efficient team is the key to the company’s progress and good performance. I can’t even imagine working without a team. A company owes its success not to individual employees but rather to teamwork. It is imperative to invest both in developing individual competencies and the development of teams and teamwork, as well as cooperation on all levels within the company.
About motivation…
I am motivated by the values we create every day, both internally through the satisfaction and proactivity of our employees and externally through the satisfaction of our patients and customers.
About working at JGL…
Working at JGL, the largest pharmaceutical company in Croatia, inspires me for a number of reasons. The first is the people as drivers of development and growth and a pillar of sustainability. The second is the environment in which we create, address challenges and celebrate achievements every day, while the third is the products and value we create every day by taking care of our patients and the environment in which we work.
About the desire for new knowledge…
There is no such thing as too much knowledge; I am always happy to learn new things. Fortunately, due to the nature of my job, there are always plenty of opportunities for it. I would single out research and development as the main drivers of our entire system.
About my hobbies…
I value time spent with my loved ones and time spent in nature and I cherish every free moment I get to spend with my family. My passion is travelling, and my hobbies are cycling and hiking.
About success and satisfaction…
A work-life balance that opens up the most opportunities for achieving great results, both personally and professionally, brings me great satisfaction. Many achievements, and some inevitable failures, form an integral part of the story of climbing to the top. Proper balance helps us not to let success go to our heads and to cope with failure better.
