About me...
I was born in Rijeka, where I graduated from the School of Economics, majoring in Administrative Officer, and then I graduated at the Faculty of Law in Rijeka. I have been working at JGL for a little over four years in the Office of Legal Affairs and Intellectual Property in the position of Specialist in Legal Affairs and Intellectual Property.
About my workday...
Each of my work days begins with reviewing emails and requests on the helpdesk, and setting priorities for that day. Since I am responsible for intellectual property, I check to see if there are any deadlines that we must not miss, which are most often related to the extension of trademark registration. Although my work day somehow always starts the same way, no day is the same because there are always some new situations that need to be resolved.
About work challenges...
My job can be quite dynamic and challenging. The working day can be very difficult to predict because you never know what will await you that day and what problems you will encounter. There are many things on the agenda - legal reviews of various types of contracts, applications for new trademarks, extensions of existing ones, various objections, letters, interpretations, research, etc. The work in my department carries great responsibilities and a number of possible problems to solve, but I think staying calm and "cool-headed" is key to any problem-solving.
About the team environment...
I like working in a team environment because we are all different and it is interesting to see how everyone has their own view on solving a problem and how someone copes with a certain situation. I believe that through this diversity and through different perspectives, a lot can be learned both about work and about yourself.
About motivation and interests...
Along with colleagues at work, I am also motivated by learning new things and improving my skills, team spirit and focus on a common result. I am also motivated by JGL's attitude towards employees through various benefits, education and workshops, events and socializing. Regardless of the amount of work, there is always time for jokes, socializing and laughing, and I believe that a healthy work environment is one of the greatest motivations for work and further success.
About working at JGL...
At JGL, I like team spirit and the relationship between colleagues the most. There is a warm and friendly atmosphere that gives that sense of belonging to the JGL Family.
About the desire for new knowledge...
I think that the best way to learn is to face new challenges, to overcome those challenges, although in the beginning it can be very difficult. I think I have a lot more to learn (both in the profession and in other areas related to my daily work), and every new day is an opportunity to do so.
About my hobbies...
My hobby is photography. Although my most common motives are nature and animals, I also enjoy photographing lightning and I can spend hours waiting to catch just that perfect one. I also enjoy photographing people and capturing those little spontaneous moments that people may not even be aware of at the time, but will have fond memories of them. That is why the names of the pages on Instagram and Facebook where I post my photos are called - Capture the moment.
About success and satisfaction...
In my job, my biggest success is fast employment after graduating from college as well as personal growth and progress in what I do. In my private life, my successes are mostly related to photography, of which I am especially proud of the award for the best photograph in my county in 2016, then second place in the competition and published photography in Milan Sijerković's book "On the weather and climate of Rijeka and Kvarner" and a number other successes and awards. Although photography can be exhausting (all-day wedding photography where you must not miss a single moment), I simply enjoy seeing the end result and the satisfaction of those I photographed.
