With the start of the new year, the first works above ground on the new JGL logistics centre, one of the three key facilities within the new Integra 2020 investment project, became visible.
The distribution centre is located on a 21,000 square metre plot in the north-eastern part of the Bakar Industrial Zone. The facility has a gross area of six thousand square metres and consists of two functionally connected and structurally separate parts – an automated warehouse in a temperature regime of 15 to 25 degrees and an expedition department which will be built around the warehouse to the east and south and which includes refrigerated storage space.
A modern and fully automated high-bay warehouse with its own expedition department at Kukuljanovo will provide an additional 15,500 pallet places. Its installation will begin in early March, and trial operation of the system is planned for November 2021. The hall will reach a height of 22 metres and will be the tallest building in the industrial zone.
The Integra 2020 investment project will enable JGL to take advantage of new business opportunities, increase productivity and compete even more successfully with the best pharmaceutical companies in the world.
