At the invitation of Rector Snježana Prijić Samaržija and Vice-Rector for Studies, Students and Quality Assurance Marta Žuvić, the Rector’s Office of the University of Rijeka held a working protocol meeting with the administration of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry (FPB) at the University of Zagreb, members of the JGL Board of Directors, and representatives of the Rijeka Faculty of Medicine and the Department of Biotechnology on the topic of cooperation in establishing the Pharmaceutical Medicine study programme at the University of Rijeka.
The participants emphasised the importance of good inter-institutional cooperation, which has been present since the launch of the process of establishing the Pharmaceutical Medicine study programme, especially in planning and conducting joint scientific and applied research and strengthening the human resources of all partners involved.
In the working part of the meeting, the FPB, University of Zagreb, Faculty of Medicine in Rijeka and the Department of Biotechnology signed an Agreement Regulating Mutual Rights and Obligations, which was followed by a visit to the production facilities within the JGL Pharma Valley complex and a tour of the JGL Museum of Pharmacy. Visitors were impressed by what they saw, and the group were commended for their efforts, which was both a rewarding experience and an incentive for further growth and development.
