Ivo Usmiani, member of the JGL Board of Directors and the company’s founder and leader from its inception, has been honoured with a new lifetime achievement award. The award was presented by CROMA (Croatian Association of Managers and Entrepreneurs) in Zagreb, under the high patronage of the President of the Republic of Croatia, Zoran Milanović. The winners were selected by an independent expert jury comprising members of the HUM-CROMA Board of Directors, representatives from the academic community, the media, and various professional associations.
“I am deeply grateful for this exceptional honour. This lifetime achievement award holds special significance for me as it comes from a community of entrepreneurs – people who share the same passion, vision, and dedication to advancing the economy and society. Entrepreneurship, especially today, is filled with numerous challenges and responsibilities but also immense opportunities. Every obstacle on my path was an opportunity to learn, and every success is the result of dedicated work, perseverance, and support – from my family, as well as countless associates, partners, and all JGL employees. I would like to take this opportunity to express my deep gratitude to all of them,” emphasised Usmiani upon receiving the lifetime achievement award. He added that the award is not only a recognition of his work but also a motivation to continue contributing to the development of our community.
“This award inspires me to continue sharing my knowledge and experience with future generations of entrepreneurs, as individual success is never isolated – it is part of a larger picture of progress and collaboration. I am deeply grateful and remain committed to responsibly promoting the values of entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainable development,” concluded Usmiani.
For Usmiani, the CROMA award is already the third major recognition of this kind: in 2024, he received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Croatian Chamber of Economy – County Chamber Rijeka, and the year before, he was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from Primorje-Gorski Kotar County.
