For over two decades, JGL experts have been incorporating the healing properties of seawater into modern products using innovative technology. The Aqua Maris line has helped launch a global health trend, and today, this portfolio offers a wide range of products designed for hygiene, prevention, and treatment of upper respiratory tract disorders.
Years of researching the unique healing powers of the Adriatic Sea and compiling relevant scientific literature by JGL employees resulted in the publication of a paper entitled “The Role of Seawater and Saline Solutions in the Treatment of Upper Respiratory Conditions”, written by Danijela Štanfel, Livije Kalogjera, Sergej V. Ryazantsev, Kristina Hlača, Elena Y. Radtsig, Rashidov Teimuraz and Pero Hrabač, which discusses the role of seawater in treating various upper respiratory tract disorders. In addition to proving that the ionic composition of Adriatic seawater in Aqua Maris products makes the products safe and effective in the prevention and treatment of diseases of the upper respiratory tract, scientific studies have demonstrated that it is superior to normal saline.
The paper was published in the renowned academic journal Marine Drugs. This type of systematic review is considered the most relevant form of literary publication in the hierarchy of evidence in medicine. JGL has thus demonstrated its commitment to science-based product development, and business partners and customers have been given a valuable source of expert information that will further help them understand and choose Aqua Maris all year long, wherever they are.
