JGL Among Leaders in Gender Equality

To highlight and reward companies dedicated to ensuring fairness, equity, and equal opportunities for all employees, the SELECTIO Group launched the Equal Pay project two years ago. As part of this initiative, the Equal Pay Champion certificate is awarded to organisations that demonstrate excellence in pay equity – and this year, JGL is proud to be among the recipients!

A total of 22 employers received the Equal Pay Champion certificate, recognised as leaders in closing the pay gap and promoting equal opportunities across three levels – gold, silver, and bronze. JGL, which was awarded the certificate last year, has now achieved the highest gold level, reaffirming its commitment to fostering an equal and inclusive work environment.

The certificates were presented at a ceremony in Zagreb on 14 March 2025, where Corporate HR representatives accepted the award on behalf of JGL.

Beyond celebrating organisations leading the way in gender equality, this certification also aims to inspire positive change in internal policies and support the development of transparent pay systems across workplaces in Croatia.

Closely aligned with this recognition is JGL’s “Promoting Equal Opportunities and Competitive Earnings” initiative, launched in 2024 as part of our ESG strategy. Through this initiative, JGL has been actively developing a structured methodology and implementing targeted actions to systematically ensure equal opportunities for all employees. Receiving the Gold Equal Pay Champion certificate further reinforces JGL’s commitment to this goal.

The gold-level certification represents the highest standard in analysing and addressing the pay gap. This distinction confirms that JGL has:

  • Conducted a comprehensive pay gap analysis across all male and female employees at JGL d.d., ensuring that the gap remains below 5%.
  • Established a structured methodology and performed an in-depth analysis of the pay gap within each salary grade and job position, considering key factors such as work experience, performance, and other relevant criteria.
  • Implemented an action plan to systematically monitor and maintain the pay gap at less than 5%, ensuring long-term fairness and transparency in compensation.

In addition to JGL, other recipients of the certificate include A1 Hrvatska, Addiko Hrvatska, Atlantic Grupa, CEMEX Hrvatska d.d., Coca-Cola HBC Hrvatska, Fresenius Kabi d.o.o., Generali osiguranje d.d., HEINEKEN Hrvatska, Hrvatski Telekom d.d., JT International Zagreb d.o.o., Kaufland Hrvatska k.d., KONČAR, METRO Cash & Carry d.o.o., Nestlé Adriatic d.o.o., Nexe d.d., NOVA TV, Pliva Hrvatska, Privredna banka Zagreb d.d., Podravka d.d., Porsche Croatia and Sandoz d.o.o.
