JGL has been rated among top five employers in the certification process for obtaining the Employer Partner Certificate for human resource management practice. The list included other employers such as VIPnet, Coca-Cola HBC, Croatia, Microsoft Croatia and Valamar Hotels & Resorts.
Following an independent certification process conducted in April 2011 we almost reached the maximum number of points (90%) and rose to the top of the human resources management process quality, and this time we were "under the scrutiny" of three-member expert team which evaluated over 40 human resources management process.
According to the Selectio company which awards the certificate, the companies on the Top 5 Employer Partner list apply global practices in human resource management. This means that they have elaborated a strategy of employee management; they select candidates in a transparent way and give all candidates an equal chance, manage employee work performance and reward the best, continually work on development of the employees, and regularly communicate with employees and use their feedback for further improvement of the Human Resource Management process. By this approach human resource departments in these companies are strategic partners not only to management but also to the employees and ensure the existence of a system in which everyone knows what to expect, and which leads to the success of the company.
"First of all, we must say that we are greatly honoured to be among the Top 5 Employer Partner for the year 2011. This is a sign that we are on right track for building our own human resources management system, which motivates us to become even better by following the best practice. "JGL grew from a small, local laboratory primarily thanks to people - their knowledge and abilities, commitment, creativity, passion, being open to new challenges, and having a winners' spirit. In short, people are the most responsible for past success of the company and they, of course, represent the largest development resource of JGL. We will therefore continue to pay full attention and resources to structured human resource management, in order to strengthen the competencies of our employees, especially the strategic ones, and increase the competitiveness of its businesses and ensure a balanced, long-term growth but also with the aim of allowing our employees to achieve and maintain a balance between work and private life, which is a prerequisite of general satisfaction and improving quality of life of individuals. Our goal is a happy worker! "- said Ms Marina Pulišić, Executive Director of Corporate Affairs, after receiving the certificate.
