JGL hosts Lider's Club of exporters

The topic of Lider's Club of Exporters meeting held at JGL was "What can Croatian members of the European parliament do for Croatian exporters?" Alongside about twenty exporting companies, club members, representatives of Croatia in the European parliament - Ivana Maletić, Tonino Picula, Davor Škrlec and Davor Stier - were also attending.

The host of the meeting, director Ivo Usmiani, presented JGL to the attendees, placing a focus on export, key markets, business internationalisation, income growth plan and current corporate investment projects - Pharma Valley, Adrialab and JGL Serbia. "Export is the key strategy which a company can use to build its growth, and an early entry into foreign markets was crucial for JGL's success," Usmiani said.

According to data of the Club of Exporters presented by Manuela Tašler, deputy of Lider's editor-in-chief, the first half of 2014, with the growth of 13.4 %, was the best half-year percentage wise for exporting. Croatia can expect difficulties at this time with export into Russian and Ukrainian markets, especially if the difficulties expand to the IT and pharmaceutical industries.

Members of the European parliament have presented their functions and previous initiatives in the European parliament to the representatives of the strongest Croatian exporting companies, as well as ways to help them and lobby for their interests in Brussels.

Participants had the opportunity to see sterile and non-sterile production facilities at the Svilno location where the recognisable JGL brands are produced, and the official part of the day was followed by an informal gathering with the exchange of experiences and good practices.
