At the 12th traditional JGL masquerade party the company renounced a part of the prize money awarded to the best masked groups and donated to the "Slava Raškaj" Day Rehabilitation Centre a piece of speech therapy equipment used for the correction of pronunciation, stuttering and hastiness, development of auditory abilities and better understanding of speech. At the party director Ivo Usmiani presented to the Centre's speech therapist Ines Polarecki the donor plaque for the so-called Behringer device on behalf of JGL.
"It was with great pleasure that we answered the call of the "Slava Raškaj" Day Rehabilitation Centre in Rijeka and provided them with the equipment speech therapists need in their daily work with children. Taking care of health has always been JGL's mission, and we pay particular care to children's health. We are happy this donation will make the work of experts in the "Slava Raškaj" Centre considerably easier and that we have contributed to a faster and more successful rehabilitation of the children", Usmiani said and added that JGL strives to give something back to the community through humanitarian activities and donations.
"Given that the main activities of our Centre are focused on the work of speech therapists, the equipment enabling a better perception of the characteristics of sounds that are not normally heard is vitally important in working with children. Since our institution has scarce financial means, we approached JGL, a successful pharmaceutical company from Rijeka, which supported the initiative wholeheartedly and donated a part of the funds required to buy the device. We are deeply thankful for that", said Polarecki.
