Tamara Crnčić, who is specialised in preparing printed packaging at JGL, achieved her long time wish of volunteering in Africa. With a bag full of donations of much-needed medicines, she arrived in Kenya in early March and started volunteering at a health centre operating under the direction of a missionary, Mire Babić.
The "Mali dom" orphanage houses children with disabilities due to polio caused by polluted water, as well as hermaphrodites and children with underdeveloped limbs for whom friar Miro manages to get prostheses and aids, making their life easier and making them more independent. In this orphanage, many got a chance for a better life, and the doors to education have been opened for them thanks to the St. Francis Mission School.
In the following days, Tamara will spend part of her volunteer time helping nurse Evelin who works at the orphanage centre and familiarising her with all of the JGL products she brought with her. JGL also surprised all the children with bags, pens and caps.
