On 10 and 11 March 2012 the Kantrida pools in Rijeka were the venue of the National Synchronised Swimming Championships for juniors. 38 swimmers from six clubs - HAKSP Mladost Zagreb, KSP Dolfina Split, KSP Medveščak Zagreb, Špoljarić Sinkro Klub, Zagrebački Sinkro Klub and KSP Primorje Aqua Maris Rijeka - participated in the Championships.
KSP Primorje Aqua Maris was named the most successful club; it won 6 medals: team gold medal and combined routine gold medal (team comprising Rebecca Domika, Maja Pađen, Mia Šestan, Tesa Pavić, Ivana Host and Marta Crnčić), Rebecca Domika competing solo and in a duet with Maja Pađen. Maja Pađen for her solo performance and Mia Šestan and Tara Pavić as a duet won silver medals. A third duet comprising Ivana Host and Marta Crnčić came in 5th and left the competition behind. Our synchro swimmers also dominated in figures and won the first three places.
We would like to emphasize that Aqua Maris has been a proud sponsor of the Primorje girls for years and use this opportunity to congratulate the swimmers who have once again proven that perseverance and hard work do pay off!
