The "Sea is Alive" workshops held in Split and Omiš

Workshops which are a part of the education project entitled "Education of children about the need to preserve and protect the Adriatic underwater world", which JGL has been supporting for the last couple of years, were held in the Split-Dalmatia County. This is a long-term project developed on the national level, intended to help the education of young people and raise their awareness about the fact that Croatia is a maritime country, that our sea is a source of health and energy, and that we must preserve it.

Four-day workshops were held in Split in the primary school "Pojišan", including a total of 300 students from the 1st to the 4th grade, and in Omiš, where 250 students from the primary school "Josip Pupačić" took part in the educational activities.

The workshops consisted of a theoretical part, including a lecture, presentation, film, and the projection of photographs, as well as a practical part - a motivational competition in collecting sea organisms, the presentation of scuba diving skills, and a short scuba diving course.
