Once again the students of the Faculty of Medicine, in cooperation with the City of Rijeka, the Red Cross, the Student Association of the University of Rijeka and the Student Association of the Faculty of Medicine, traditionally organised the commendable humanitarian project "Kapi života 16" ("Drops of Life 16") in our city.
The project includes the campaign of voluntary blood donation, measuring blood pressure and blood glucose and performing EEGs and spirometry tests on citizens. The main goal is to prevent two most frequent illnesses of the present age, hypertension and diabetes, and collect blood for those who need it most.
This traditional campaign, held for the sixth year in a row, has been very successful. So far some hundred blood doses have been collected in each campaign. Our company recognised the importance and significance of this campaign and supported its organisation.
