The fifth Sustainable Development Report summarizing the business year 2012 is a new confirmation of JGL's efforts to apply ideas of sustainable development in finding optimal work conditions of human resources and business dynamics in a transparent and responsible manner, while increasing the community's social awareness and building solid foundations for the creation of sustainable development focused on individuals. For JGL, socially responsible business based on joint investment in the future represents a concept of creating common values according to which activities aimed at contributing to society are linked to core business with the focus on environmental protection and improvement of standards of life for individuals within and outside the company. This fifth DOP report was also composed in accordance with the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) guidelines, as well as the basic principles of the UN Global Compact network in the areas of human rights, labour rights, environment and anti-corruption, and its special value lies in the transition to level B of reporting.
"We have paid special interest to JGL's Report for 2012 since it is a transition from reporting level C to level B, which is a significant improvement, seeing as GRI requires a detailed description of the management approach to main areas of sustainability for reporting level B and higher. The Commission's evaluation of the presence of impact indicators, degree of clarity, detail and balance of the 2012 Report confirmed that it is in accordance with the stated level B of GRI application, but also that it exceeds that level, leading us to believe that JGL is on a good path to reach level A of reporting with regard to G3 guidelines of GRI. The included economic, social and environmental indicators show that JGL continuously tries to harmonize its business with the principles of sustainable development, improve transparency, and achieve an even better quality of dialogue with its shareholders. The report is clear, contains a lot of relevant information, and is visually interesting. As in the previous reports, a lot of details were included in the chapters on products, financial operations, customer relations, as well as market shares, which speaks of the company's transparency and contributes to a high evaluation according to GRI criteria. We would like to use this opportunity to express our satisfaction with the report of company's excellent business results pointing to a 25% export increase and strong organic growth." - states the opinion of Commission of the Croatian Business Council for Sustainable Development, giving additional value to the document another year in a row.
