On June 12th 2007, JGL, one of the first pharmaceutical companies in Europe, was awarded the ISO 22000:2005 certificate for its food safety management system. ISO 22000:2005 integrates the quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001:2000, and the HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) requirements of the food safety management system.
A multidisciplinary team of JGL experts worked on integration of the existing management system with the requirements of the ISO 22000:2005 standards, and more than one half of all employees attended different trainings related to the management system according to ISO 22000:2005, HACCP, risk management, etc. The system was certified by the Bureau Veritas Certification body.
Implementation of the management system elements in accordance with the requirements of ISO 22000:2005 ensures that all food products have been developed, produced and tested pursuant to defined requirements, resulting in a high quality products which are safe.
