In an effort to minimise the impact of its operations on the environment, JGL has partnered with Toyota’s licensed dealers, Toyota Centar Zagreb and Autonippon from Rijeka, to renew its vehicle fleet. The Yaris 1.5 HSD Luna, Corolla Touring Sports 1.8 HSD Luna and Corolla Hatchback 1.8 HSD Luna models have now replaced the older Toyota Auris models from 2015.
The new Toyota cars are fourth-generation hybrids, meaning they run in the all-electric mode more than half the time. Toyota hybrids don’t need to be charged with an external power source, i.e. they don’t need to be plugged in. The battery charges itself while driving and when braking, and the advanced hybrid technology enables a quiet and reliable drive while improving fuel efficiency by 30 per cent on average. All of the vehicles are equipped with the advanced Toyota Safety Sense active and passive safety system, which creates an even safer driving environment.
Compared to the previous generation, the new Toyota vehicles also produce lower emissions of CO2, nitrogen oxides and other exhaust gases, which means that these vehicles will further reduce JGL’s environmental impact. This eco-friendly and sustainable component was the main reason behind the JGL–Toyota partnership.
