Based on a review of activities primarily focused on the wage gap, JGL received the Equal Pay Champion certificate which confirms a company’s commitment to ensuring equal conditions and opportunities for men and women in every segment and at every level.
“We at JGL are dedicated to valuing work equally regardless of gender. Ensuring equal opportunities, not just with regard to gender, but also age and any other form of diversity, is at the heart of our values and employment system policies, employee assessments, working conditions, and career development,” says Lorena Dika, Director of Corporate HR, adding that the share of women in JGL’s Board of Directors is 57%, while the percentage is even higher in top management – 68%. The share of women at group level is 76%, which puts us significantly above the Croatian average.
The Equal Pay Champion project was launched by the company Selectio with the aim of rewarding employers who are determined to achieve equality, equity and fairness within their organisation, and the certificate represents an important step in building transparent pay systems in workplaces across Croatia.
“The goal is to support the will, determination and initiatives on the topic of equity and gender equality. We were particularly pleased to highlight in the report, apart from the guidelines, your strengths related to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI), and equal pay practices that you have already successfully implemented. They classify you as ambassadors of equity and equality on the Croatian market, making you a role model and inspiration for other organisations,” said the Selectio Group, adding that certification is carried out once a year and that the comprehensive certification criteria and requirements will be established in 2025. This year, the goal is to recognise companies that support raising awareness of this important topic and are committed to maintaining and raising standards through certification processes.
