The Entrepreneurial Mindset: Culture of Success conference took place at the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb on 21 November 2024, organised by the Poduzetnik media platform and EY Croatia. For the sixth consecutive year, this event brought together leading experts and entrepreneurs to emphasise the value of a healthy entrepreneurial mindset and foster a supportive entrepreneurial climate in Croatia.
“Success culture is not the privilege of the few but a mindset that anyone can embrace. Entrepreneurs must recognise that the world is brimming with untapped opportunities, but the key lies in actively pursuing them. To advance as a society, we must foster an entrepreneurial spirit, promote innovation, and view uncertainty as an ally rather than an obstacle. Through this conference, we aim to highlight that a culture of success is not a luxury but a necessity for any meaningful progress,” said co-organiser Ognjen Bagatin, explaining the event’s purpose.
By celebrating the successes of others as our own, we embrace and foster a culture of success. This philosophy brings together inspiring individuals, motivates entrepreneurs, and empowers the business community on their journey to progress. The conference aims to achieve this through lectures, panels, and one-on-one conversations, where participants can learn from entrepreneurial stories and experiences, ultimately introducing positive changes in their lives and fostering a community that celebrates success in all its forms.
This year’s conference also featured Mislav Vučić, the CEO of JGL, who shared insights into the practices of our company. In a one-on-one format titled “JGL’s Laboratory of Success,” Vučić discussed the INTEGRA investment, JGL’s long-term support for the local community, and its collaboration with academic and educational institutions. He highlighted the partnership with the University of Rijeka, particularly the establishment of the Pharmacy Study Programme, in conversation with Berislav Horvat, Country Managing Partner and Head of the Audit Department at EY Croatia.
Additionally, Vučić spoke about the recent launch of JGL’s new bond issue, the company’s first directly linked to sustainable business practices. He emphasised how this move aligns with JGL’s business strategy, which includes clearly defined environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals.
