On-line employment system presented to Rijeka students
A record of 5000 visitors, 56 participants, 36 of which were employers, 16 schools/educational institutions and 7 partners took part in this year's 4th annual Career fair in Rijeka held at the beginning of the week on the premises of the National University in Školjić and organized by the Croatian Employment Service, Rijeka District Office.
The goal of this year's Career fair was to ensure personal contact between employers and jobseekers while presenting the leading employers and educational institutions of the County to unemployed and employed persons, pupils and students, to contribute to a better professional orientation and understanding of the needs of the local labour market and to improve the cooperation of all stakeholders (employers, public institutions, schools and institutions of higher learning. The alarming unemployment rate was reflected in the highest ever number of visitors, who were especially intrigued by the employers renowned as stable, reliable and successful. One of those employers was JGL, whose employees presented a new on-line system on www.jgl.hr enabling a direct input of candidates for jobs in Hr.net with an extended database. Representatives of JGL drew the attention of students and the unemployed of the Primorje-Gorski kotar County to the publishing of current competitions and active jobs listings in the future.
